It may not be worth your while for one month only but Chemist Warehouse are advertising up to 70% off commonly used prescriptions from 13th January, 2025 to 29th January, 2025 or while stocks last.
Is there an online catalogue of CW pricelist? I can search Healthwave's site for prescription prices but not Chemist Warehouse or Pure - tia

If you are looking for price on particular items just ring them,....that's what I did and found them a lot cheaper than other pharmacies..
I don't think that they are very good on information on particular items though.
But the other pharmacies will give you that....

What exactly do you mean? What sort of information is there other than the name of the drug, the manufacturer, the dosage and the price? All of which they provide on request in my experience.

Chemist Warehouse, as Clubman says above, do appear to issue a small list of commonly used prescriptions occasionally. If you Google Chemist Warehouse price list Ireland you may be able to see the more common medicines in their January, '25 catalogue. It won't let me copy it.

The PDF in question is too large to attach. The list of prescription medication prices is very short. Usually they publish a much more comprehensive list.

An Post online sell Christmas stamp booklets all the year around, not just at Christmas. These usually offer 2 stamps free in the booklet. It can take a few years for older issues to sell out so usually you can get at least the previous years booklets at a discount.
Secondly, make sure to always buy N (national) and W (international) stamps as prices go up, but older N and W stamps are still valid.

My wife went to Chemist Warehouse to get info on taking pro biotic medication because she was on other meds but the pharmacist was not at all helpful. His attitude was sure take ' this particular one ' and see if it works....at 25 euro ...if you don't mind.
She called to another pharmacy and got the proper advice . And got the medication which suited her situation..

Prescription or over the counter?

I've never had such an issue with the staff in CW Henry Street, Dublin 1 or Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 over many visits and calls.

She knew what she wanted and was asking about over the counter product, because she was already on medication, and wanted to be sure it would be ok to take. His words were ' I'd say it will be ok but try it and see' . This was not the reassurance that was needed.

That sounds quite off-hand and unhelpful. It might have been an honest answer though. I have often observed the staff in Health Shops giving advice on products such as this and wonder what evidence they are basing it on. It may well aid the placebo effect though (I mean that in a positive way).

"While there’s little specific research on the safety of probiotics, they appear to be safe for healthy people to take. They have a long history of widespread and regular use among the public."

But this person was actually the pharmacist, not just someone behind the counter...

That is the point. If the research evidence is not there how what is the advice based on? It doesn't seem to stop the experts in the Health Shop.
