Hi
We were wondering whether you could look at the feasability of the new number 4 bus terminating within Northwood. There are probably close to 1800 residents of the developments at present, as well as a hotel and other planned developments.

1. I must say that I suspected that the private road status and in particular the ramps would prove a difficulty for them. They responded to me by confirming that they considered it but wouldn't proceed because of a lack of a truning point and the current road layout.
2. My office contacted Fingal Co. Council on Monday about the footpath. I had been in touch with them before and asked them to provide a footpath by requiring it as part of the planning approval for buildings along Ballymun Road (a number of applications have been considered and most are still under consideration). The current situation is just unacceptable. They tell me that a footpath is being required as part of the latest planning proposal and they hope that this will be enough to allow Dublin Bus proceed. They haven't set aside any funding for footpaths in the area for this year so it looks like we will have to wait until next year when hopefully the development will be built along Ballymun Road and the paths provided then. In the meantime I will go back to Dublin Bus to see if any interim measure could be provided to accommodate a stopping point along Ballymun Road to facilitate residents.
