Affordable Housing-Process/Plans Cork County

I know sure, I can only imagine. I still dont feel like its real to be honest. The bank said I should have my officical loan offer by the end of this week, I think Ill actually start believing it then! After waiting sooooo long, its hard to believe its actually happening at last!
 
Did EBS arrange for the valuer to go out 4 you? Oh and I meant to ask was there anything on the letter about having to get a snag list done?
 
Apparently their valuer was gonna go there today or tomorrow, he'll prob go to a few, and its after that then that Ill be getting the loan offer. When I have that it goes to the council, and after that the councils solicitor gets onto my solicitor and it goes on from there. So another good few weeks I say. The letter said nothing at all about a snag list, but maybe there will be along the line.
 
Well I would hope Ill at least be getting the keys around Christmas, and maybe another month or 2 before all the work is done in order to move in.
 
I suppose that would depend 2 on how fast the councils solicitor takes. I wonder is that where the 8-12 weeks comes in?
 
Id say so. Its a bit drawn out alright. How long are you gonna give the council before you think your gonna ring them again?
 
I tried ringing there but no answer. I'm really starting to think that my chances are getting slimer by the day. I'm getting more and more stressed over it.
 
I can only imagine how your feeling, especially after they rang and told you that you were in with a great chance with one of those ones. But there must be a reason. I still reckon you'll be ok tho.

But I would keep tryin to ring if I were you cos you 'll go mad if you dont hear soon!

I'm in the same boat as you, waiting to hear from them. This might be of some help to you. I was told that they were going to give out the 3 bed semis in the Old Quarter first (which they have done) and then the semis in Highfield. When all of these were allocated they would start allocating the 3 bed terraced houses, so maybe they haven't got on to them yet.

Well its probs better to go to your bank first cos nothing can be done until you get your official loan offer. You'll get your letter, and you just send in your acceptance slip and your solicitors details asap. So you just have to decide which solicitor your going with.
