or peel the spuds?
I removed the wrappers from the sweets in the pick n' mix before weighing. I also jump in the air and hit the weigh button split seconds after I land. The shock wave from my jump momentarily lightens the load on the scales.

I've saved 93c over the past 3 yrs. I'm also barred from every cinema in Dublin which reduces spending too.

A friend of mine used to pull the stalks off the mushrooms before she weighed them and felt that she was saving a lot. The fact that the mushrooms 'go off' a lot quicker never occurred to her

So that's the sweets, the bananas and mushrooms taken care of .....what next is the question

Peel all the citrus fruits, discard the vines from the vine tomatoes, bring large-volume containers with you to the shop, and empty drinks from recyclable bottles, cans, etc into them. This way you can get your deposit money refunded without ever having to pay it.

I think I will have to have a lie down after reading all the work in that lot

If you don’t like a friend or a family member, send them on a 13km hike with a 1,040m elevation change.

You'll save on laundry powder, electricity to power the washing machine, and you'll need to buy a lot less underpants

Where are you going with "a second day", I get a week out of mine before I think about turning them inside out!!!!

Honestly the best money saving tip I could offer is stop buying stuff that you don't really need and only spend when you have too

Regifting stuff you don’t want/need.

But keep the tags or a note of who gave it to you. I got a lovely gift from a friends last Christmas, exactly what I wanted, I gave it to her the previous year. A sharp eyed friend spotted it and being sharp tongued also pointed it out, much hilarity.. and a very red face.

Wear your underpants over your trousers and you’ll get weeks out of them.

As a bonus, some people in white coats will bring you away to a nice facility where you’ll never have to pay for anything ever again.
