Key Post UK State Pension - Make voluntary contributions to qualify for UK pension on top of Irish pension

Ok quick update for me. Paid amount via revolut on 14th March 2025 and rang hmrc today. 50 min wait (I downloaded viber app and they have free call trial period) and got through to super helpful person. Anyway I'm all sorted and he confirmed payment received and that they would allocate it and update site. I said about I'm class 2 and website says class 3 but he said I confirm it's fine (I also have letter with it). Also I mentioned about future years and he said I would receive a letter each year with amount due.

Again huge thanks to @DannyBoyD and others on here.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank DannyBoyD for his commitment to this endeavour.
Thanks to all the information contained in this thread, I was able to buy back 16 years of contributions for myself and my wife. Paid in October confirmed over the phone in February and updated online in March.
Investment wise it doesn't get better than this as we were assessed as class 2.

For anyone thinking there's no time left do it today: get your paperwork, register online, confirm your identity and fill in a cf83 online to be within the deadline.

I would think that they would write letters out rather than phone, if they have to officially declare anything.
Such as HMRC having given misleading information about eligibility.
