Small benefit from €1,000 to €1,500 for employers

The increase is pointless. The main beneficiaries are company directors of small companies who will just take out an additional €500 (it's not as if a company director couldn't find a way to expense €500 anyway!). Or employees of the large multinationals, who tend to get well remunerated anyway.

I wonder how many SMEs who used to give employees the €500 gift upped it to €1,000 in the first place? And how many will up it to €1,500?

I've found that they only work in Tesco about one time in five
I've never had any problem with them. Well, the only one was using the self service checkout only to find that you can't use them to pay the and then having to lug everything to the help desk/Lotto/cigarette counter to pay there but the staff were helpful.

We usually get our Christmas week food shopping with the One4All in SuperValu. Very handy...

I use it to buy books :) but my partner did get a gift we could convert to Tesco vouchers and that was brilliant.

The town that I live in launched a voucher scheme several years ago and it's a great voucher to receive.
Most of the restaurants, gyms, hotels, supermarkets and shops accept them so it's very easy to use and also the money stays local which is nice.

I wonder whether employer could just give €1500 on 1st Jan 2025 instead of €1000 on 31st Dec 2024?
Not in respect of 2024(eg if you haven't given anything for 2024 or won't then fine

) the 1500 which you can do on Jan 1st is their gift voucher for 2025 done then altogether,

so the next time you can gift without BIK is Jan 1st 2026 for another 1500,

But yes, you can give 1500 on Jan 1st 2025
