Saw him break my heart when I was a kid when he scored a hat trick against Waterford in a European Cup tie in Lansdowne.
He famously played holding the cuffs of his jersey in his hands , half the kids in De La Salle Waterford adopted that fashion .
He went golfing the day that England won the World Cup , he just couldn’t bear it .
May the sod rest gently on him , you were a jewel Denis .
