€ 25.00 - € 30.00 + would be alow estimate, better guys would be charging € 50.00 -€ 60.00/hr.
its very easy to put up curtain rails by the way
Hi
I've a bunch of odd jobs that need doing around the house, and will be getting a handyman in to do them all over the course of a few hours. Estimate about 3-4 hours.
As I haven't a rashers what this should cost me, could anyone advise a ballpark hourly rate that might be reasonable so I know I'm not getting completely fleeced.
TIA
€15 an hour? What kind of insurance is this guy paying? Tax?
I am pretty sure thats cash.
I got a local guy to do odd jobs, curtain poles, bath nd bedroom mirrors...€80 a day. The poles were crooked, bath mirror cracked, screwed in too tight despite instructions, scratched other all new bath mirror nd dressing table mirror...the list goes on. He was highly recommended?!!! See work done in someone elses house before hiring/paying.
Hi,
I had a man yesterday to do some jobs :
1. glue and tighten screws on 3 stools
2. Replace 3 door locks
3. plane a door
Cost 120 euro cash, I thought it was expensive
Come again ???? Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't working up to lunchtime be considered as "Half a day" ?pointless going to another job at lunch time, the day is almost finished.
Glad I don't know any of your mates!! You're basically saying that they'll be charged a higher hourly rate if the job takes only 1-2 hours. Most of the lads I know who work for themselves... So you have to charge for a full day to make it worth your while.
