Not sure if I can beat it but here are a few that I'm surprised haven't been mentioned so-far
These are all songs that have a special meaning to me and bring back happy memories

We decided not to have kids but going by what my nieces and nephews have told me and what I see and read in the media,
"teenage life" these days is a lot more complicated and difficult compared to when I was a teenager
Back then all I really thought about was music, smoking & drinking and last but not least girls,
the first two were easy to come by but the latter didn't really take off until my late teenage years

In September 78 the BBC radio DJ John Peel played for the first time a song by an Northern Irish band
It was a short song of two minutes and twenty nine seconds made up of two perfect rhyming versus and one chorus and a banging guitar rift
John liked it so much he did something never before done on the BBC, he immediately played it again saying "It doesn't get much better then this"
He went on to not only say it was his all time favourite song right up to his death in 2004 but also asked for the opening line to be engraved on his headstone

I'm glad their Springsteen quote was from Thunder Road, probably my favourite Bruce song (obviously the live version from the 1984 Box Set).
I'm also struck, in retrospect, by just how good the Bee Gees were.

It's easy to take things for granted but there is so much good music, of all kinds from all times, that just makes life better.
