Free car park in Dublin centre on Sunday

I am afraid parking on Merrion and Fitzwilliam Sq has been gobbled up in recent years with coach parking and rental bike stations. Yes there used to be a few Sunday 'free' sections but now those seem to be disappearing.
 
Plenty of free parking on Parnell Street (up around summer hill), also around Croke park, NCR, Jones road. I never pay to park in town just an extra 5 /10 min walk
 
Worked around the area for the last 20 years (Hospital worker) and never once paid for parking and my car never damaged. Clamped twice though! Parked too near the corner and one occasion and at the end of a continuous white line the other time. I remember residents coming out of their houses and incensed that I was clamped for that one.
