Ok... So that sounds about right. I do not have BOI account but walked into a branch to set up account. The branch person was rude and said it wasn't possible. I rang customer service from the branch, and proceeded to the little Hub with computer.. and followed instructions from over the phone to start the set up process. Now it works as a direct debit from N26 on a set date. There is no way to see the account online. You have to make a phone call with any query, but they are great on the phone. So yep, it's a strange set up.Tried to open a new BOI supersaver account through the 365 app and unable to do so. Contacted BOI and told there is a technical issue that prevents clients from opening the account! Was told to go on their website, decline the 365 option and open the account as a non 365 user. What a farce?
The T&Cs state "Save monthly by Direct Debit from large to small amounts. Minimum €5 – Maximum €2,500" So cancelling the DD would probably cause the account to be closed. This happened to me in the past with the first BOI GoalSaver account I opened. The solution would be to reduce the DD to the minimum and open additional account if you wished to do so.After a year if i was doing 2,500 per month could I cancel direct debit and set up a new one for say 5 euro or stop altogether?
I think you need to be registered for phone banking.
Up until last year the answer was a resounding no. No fees, no online banking.Thanks. Anyone know if you can register for phone banking without registering for 365?

Some years back I had a current account and two Goalsaver accounts with BOI. When I closed the current account I lost online access to the Goalsaver accounts. From that point onwards, I was reliant on annual statements. I opened a new Current Account at the end of 2001 when UB were in the process of withdrawing and got BOI to link the Goalsaver Accounts to the new online profile. But, as far as I know, the same cannot be done if you have a savings account but no current account. But open to correction.
That's the exact same for BOI Monthly Saver, Goal Saver, Term Deposits etc. Pretty ridiculous to be honest.Dissapointed to see that only account balance and not transactions for the SuperSaver are available
In fairness I found this aswell. I was able to get through almost immediately and my issue was resolved very quickly. You can telephone and they are very helpful
I understand why new transaction entry isn't allowed given the restrictive terms attaching to these accounts, but I don't get why they won't allow existing transactions to be displayed. It would be a very minor IT change and would facilitate customers as well as eliminating the staff time-wasting that goes with phone calls and branch visits. Now all they need to do is to get the IT people to sort their end?!
