Aviva says lowest car Insurance quote available is €280.

I think there is "step back" as well which can be combined with the protected NCD.
The reason I'd say go for both.

Absolutely select one of them.
Your posts suggest you can avail of more than 1 of the 3 options. Just clarifying that in my experience, that this does not appear to be the case. It would only let me select 1 of the 3 options.

How is there a €90 difference between the documents they sent me and the fee that comes up when you click on the renewal link?
This happened to Mrs C many years ago with 123 and when she queried it she was told that when they compile quotes it's in advance of the renewal date so they have to use the rates available on the day of compiling the quote, but as most people only renew closer to renewal those rates might have changed

Sorry for any confusion but I'd have thought it was clear what I meant when I said

The difference is because of their €90 broker fee.

I always thought that these models were based on volume and commission from the provider? Now I can just go direct and avoid the broker fee

I'm still confused? Cervelo, are you saying that I should opt for both options? What's the point is my point.

Your actual premium is €252 but you're going to pay €310 which means you've €58 for extras
So pick the Protected NCB with stepback rather then just protected NCB
Post #177 explains the difference in the 3 options
