I find it amazing how often they strike. The facts are that taxi drivers earn a very good living and its widely known that the majority of them do not declare all of their income and therefore pay less tax than they should.
They are just comming across as being pure greedy. Any chances of Ryanair starting a low fares taxi service?
Why does it cost €24 to go 8 miles in Dublin in a banged out 8 year old car!
And of course the taxis in Galway aren't striking during race week, no they of course wouldnt miss a big earning opportunity. Was talking to a taxi man on saturday and he expects to earn 2.5k in race week. How much will he declare I wonder? He said as little as possible and I believe him.
