Two litres of milk price increase/Dunnes?

Obviously the brewers and retailers know that people will tend to pay more for quality beer than Dutch gold but if they push up the price of their main brands too much above MUP we'll then that is a huge price difference between Northern Ireland and people will just bulk buy in the North on a much larger scale than currently, anecdotally this is a fairly large trade even now
 
Apparently there has been a change from Dunnes in relation to the way or entitlement to money off vouchers

The €3 off €15 and the €5 off €25 are what Dunnes calls "Threshold" vouchers which are a one time use
You may or may not get a voucher back when you use one
But if you did a €15 or €25 shop without a voucher you probably will get get a voucher for your next shop

The €10 off €50 is a "Topup" voucher and you get one back when you use one
if you spend more than €85 using one €10 off €50 there is a high chance you'll get two €10 off €50 vouchers

So now we have to organise our shopping in multiples €50 :rolleyes:

I honestly don't know why this stuff is allowed, that and Tesco's clubcard pricing is a way for them to completely confuse the average punter and push up prices willy-nilly and by stealth. It's pure collusion surely?
 
I use Dunnes deliveries quite a bit.
When you order outline they automatically apply the vouchers up to a max 3 €50/10.
With a minimum €4 carriage charge it suits me well.
They also give you 3 €50/10 and 1 €25/05 physical vouchers with your receipt.

I spent €88 in Dunnes last Sat using a €10 and €5, was wondering why I only got a €10 voucher, would normally have got a €5 as well.
 
In my local Dunnes Stores here in Blackrock we always get a €5 voucher back when we spend €25 at the weekend.

We operate 2 x €5 vouchers per week and generally avoid the €10 off vouchers.
 
We did two shops this week !!
Did a €75 in Cornelscourt but only got a €10 off €50 back but managed to get a €5 off €25 in Blackrock,
it was from using a €10 off €40 voucher somebody gave us

Over the last month or so am beginning to see a lot of price rises, five cent here ten cent there and the odd bigger ones like the .40c on butter
The breakfast deal which is a packet of sausages, rashers and a stick of black or white pudding has now gone up in price
Last summer I'm sure it was €5 then went to €5.50 and now €6
But the one that jumped out at me was the "Chocolate Kimberly's", last year €12 this year €13
 
All the Dunnes own brand generics are gone up 10% also. The frozen veg is now 1.09 and ice cream/pops are 2.19 from €1 and €2 as well as the chicken specials. Still not that bad though.

I know that you mentioned about the Threshold aspect last week but I have spoken to one/two of the assistants in Dunnes and they seem to think that it mainly applies to the situation that you mention above where you spend €75. In the past you would have received both a €10 and a €5 whereas you now just receive a €10.

I have used a few €5 vouchers over the past two weeks and have a received a €5 back so there does not appear to be any change there. I always find its best to split the shopping into €25 lots and most likely qualify for individual vouchers that way.

Agree about this, but tbf the price of cocoa has absolutely soared since last xmas, so likely a producer price increase and not just dunnes
Have noticed a jump in household cleaning products etc too - Domestos is now 4.50 albeit on a BOGOF offer. Same product is 3.50 full price in Tesco and 2 euro special offer atm. Really have to shop around
 
Glenisk goats milk (1 litre) gone up to 3.19 from 2.85 in Dunnes. Also Campari now up to 27eur from 25 in Dunnes, though I got Campari in M&S yesterday for 25.
 
Cows Milk is for calfs. Why buy it at all ? It's not doing your ticker or cholestrol any favours and whether its tasty or not is debateable. Tap Water tastes better ?
 
Dunnes have changed their policy around issuing vouchers. If you spend between €25 and €49.99 you will receive a voucher for €5 off €25; you can also redeem a voucher.
If you spend between €75 and €99.99 you will get 1 10€ off €50 you can redeem €10 off €50 and/or €5 off €25.
I was spending circa €76 in Dunnes for months and using and receiving €15 in vouchers. About 2 weeks ago I only got one €10 off €50 I emailed Customer Service and got a nonsense response emailed them again and they gave me a courtesy €5 off €25. Now I split my shop if I want to use 2 vouchers.
I am shopping in Dunnes less and spending less there; since they changed the voucher life from 14 -> 10 days . Also it costs €3.50 to park in my local Dunnes which they don’t give you back.
Agree re club card in Tesco - you literally have to have one to shop there now..
