Go on a Carribbean cruise! You'll see St Lucia, San Juan, Puerto Rico, St Martin, St Thomas and Barbados etc!! You can go swimming with sea turtles(their huge!), a really amazing creature, but be careful of baracudas (their scary!) You get to visit 6 (i think!) islands. You can also go on a pirate ship! There are too many things to list!
And theres laods of things to keep you occupied on the ship, you wont want to get off! . examples: Rock climing (yes there is a rock climing wall on the ship!), theather, pool bars, golf, tennis, ab-sailing(yes really!) ,casinos, swimming pools, spas, beauticians, pubs, shops, hairdressers, jewelers, ice-skating rink (yes its true!)cinema, fast food places, discos, nightclubs, live music, clothes shops as well as 5* restaurants to name a few!.
One of the most amazing features i have ever seen can be found in the centre of the ship.."The Main Street", a cobbled street complete with cafes and bistros (yes, inside the ship!!!) Its amazing. You can sit outside one of the cafes and its like your in the middle of a city or something! Another highlight is eating a meal in one of the out door decks and watching the flying fish, they literally leap out of the water beside the ship and can "fly" over 100metres! Its ironic when youre watching them and are in awe and then your waiter serves you.... flying fish!
The three-tier diningroom is magnificant, there is this huge grand staircase that the waiters come down while singing! Be prepared to eat 10 desserts and they dont skimp on portion sizes!! The food is 5*. You are assigned a server for you full stay, no one else will serve you. If you are a wine drinker and dont finish the bottle then it is re-sealed and will be waiting for you at your next meal! We secretly marked the level of our wine bottle and when we got it back the next night not one drop was missing.. now that honesty! Tipping the staff is a big thing on board, you dont have to give much but you have to remember that most of the staff are extremely poor so any tips are greatly recieved. They go above and beyond their duties.
I know you said you suffer from motion sickness but trust me the ship is SOO big you wont feel anything. I suffer terribly from motion sickness but i didnt feel ill once. You cant even imagine the sheer size of the ship until you see it and even then its hard to comprehend! They call it a floating hotel for a reason, it feels like your on land.
All excursions are included in the price of you ticket as well as meals and drinks in the dining hall. As far as i can remember all food and drink is included in the price whether you have 5* meal or a burger, champagne or rum!
You arrival and departure is from San Juan so you could always spend a week there to begin with.
Im telling you now that if you want to be treated like royalty then this is the way to go! Very friendly staff and an exceptional ship. You will also find some of the nicest people in the world on this ship! This is definetly the holiday of a life-time!!
If i were you i would definetely look up Royal Caribbean.
To sum it all up i suggest
wk1 Florida
WK2 Cruise
WK3 Miami!!!!
Hope this helped you a bit, but no matter what you decide i hope you have a very special 50th!
WHEW im finished!
