Most likely RSU (Stock). The article stated
This confused me. Salary plus performance bonus amounts to €178,100. What accounts for the other almost €200K in his package? The basic salary plus bonus in itself was already a lot more than what the bank were paying (€178,100 versus €129,897) but the total package figure quoted for Twitter is quite confusing.
Still it was great to see the verdict, a truly fitting response for a crass email and way of behaving. Hopefully he will receive the majority of this figure in time.
For that level, a cash-based package of 150k-200k wouldn't be unusual, with approx same target figure again in stock.
A very solid package indeed, especially for the Irish market. However, compared to the same role but US based, you have similar cash package plus expensive health care plans, and probably 3 times the stock in addition. So Ireland is much cheaper from that perspective.
Also, you can expect your Work life Balance to be very different from a job in an Irish bank.
