World Wide Travel Insurance for One Trip.

I have free European Travel Insurance with Aviva because I have my house and car insured with them. However this only covers European travel.

I will be making a trip to Asia later in the year for about two weeks. I need travel insurance for this one trip. (Both of us in our 70's)

Who offers the best once off trip insurance or should I take out a full year insurance. It seems a waste of time to take out a yearly world wide insurance if I will be only outside of Europe for two weeks.

I have an annual policy with VHI (multi-trip). Thankfully only had one serious claim in all these years & everything was taken care of with one phone call.

Also check out trailfinders. I use them for top-up once-off insurance for motorcycle trips. I have VHI multi-trip but it doesn't cover motorcycle riding.

I had the same exact same thing with Chill. Called them, they were able to upgrade the policy from Europe to World Wide for the remaining 6 months of the policy. Think it was only something like 20 euro each. Much cheaper than any single trip quote I got.
Not sure if a free policy with Aviva can be upgraded the same way, but it's worth a call.
