Did you sign on for Jobseekers credits after your class A employment ?
If you didn't you will not have any Prsi contributions for the governing year, 2023. If this is the case, you could try to make an appeal to DSP to backdate Jobseekers credits. You could make a case that you were unaware of the importance of maintaining your Prsi record.
If you did sign on for Jobseekers credits, you now need 26 weeks ( to meet the subsidiary employment rules) of class A contributions from employment to qualify.
If your rental income is currently at class K, you might not be considered as having self employment income from your rental.
If this was the case, 13 weeks of employment might be sufficient.
If you don't have at least 39 Prsi credits in 2023 you cannot at this stage qualify for BP65.
You could get pay related Jobseekers Benefit if you worked for 26 weeks and then ceased employment.
This would get you a minimum of 125 euro for 6 months.
This might then extend up to your 66th birthday, but I am doubtful that this is allowed in the rules for Pay Related Jobseekers Benefit.
Normally you would be transferred on to Benefit payment 65 if you are a Jobseeker on or after your 65th birthday, but as you would not meet the rules for Jobseekers Benefit on that date, you probably would not be changed to BP65.
