Why is Form 11 suddenly asking me about Pension contributions?

Hi, myself and spouse are joint assessed and we fill in a Form 11 each year (used to have extra income years ago but now PAYE).

Last year I got a new PAYE job, employed via an umbrella company.
All our PAYE income is pre populated in the Form 11 that's fine.

But when I try to 'calculate' it's telling me to go to the Pensions contributions page and asking for a figure gross minus contributions or some such?

Is this a new thing?
My spouse has a pension at work but I don't...

If you didn't pay any of your gross wage into a pension scheme then put 0 into it. It's asking because the last few years you did make contributions from gross.

Ok thankyou.
Should my spouse have been filing in this section of the Form 11 every year, as he pays into a work Pension?

Did we miss out on any pension tax reliefs?

If the pension contributaion are being deducted from his salary by the employer then, presumably, the reliefs are being applied by his payroll section. He could ask them.
