Why has N26 so few customers in Ireland?

Sorry but what you say is not entirely correct. N26 staff allowed me to change my pin when I did not have my card when I chatted to them in April. It is entirely plausible that they did this with the thief who stole my phone and who was able to make a top up within the N26 app of 300eur. Yes N26 is more insecure than other banks, I know from my experience this year.
I tried this out on Saturday and you are correct.
Within the space of an hour the chat agent had provided me with a new confirmation pin. No extra security questions were asked.
An SMS message with the new pin activation code was sent to my phone.

I have now reduced the screen lockout time on my phone and added an app lock to the n26 app.

There was a warning email sent telling me that a new confirmation pin was set up.

If a switched on phone was stolen the warning email is probably useless. Without the phone it would likely not be received.
Even if it was received it would take a lengthy period of time to contact n26 to alert them to freeze your account.

Meanwhile n26 has just sent me a Christmas bonus email.
70 euro referral bonus.
