I just stumbled on that on Sky News.
By the way, I was filling out a form last night for Mortgage Protection Assurance. Amongst the list of do you have this disease type questions was...do you have HIV...have you ever been tested for an STD or are you awaiting results?
Now, to me, answering the second part of a question like this with 'yes' immediately gives the insurer the right to...em...refuse you or jump your premium up maybe. Either way it's obvious that, in this particular insurer's case, they would judge you as being a higher risk just for admitting to having had a test. The reality, as Janet pointed out, does not necessarily mean you are.
