I have laminate floors, tiles in the kitchen and carpet on the stairs and landing. I have no dogs or cats but have 2 young kids, one still crawling. Should I get the Miele S5281 Solution Hepa instead of the Miele Cat and Dog? I would like to get personal opinions of people who have actually used the S5281. I hate vacuuming and am looking for something that would make me like it bit better. Thanks.

Try a roomba 560 from

Cleans very well and best of all , you don't have to do anything but empty the bin when finished and clean the brush.
If you hate vacuuming then this will vacuum for you. You can even set it to come on each day and vacuum when you are at work

I have the older version of the Miele and have to say it is the best money I have ever spent. If you have a look at the Argos.co.uk website there is feedback for the model you are considering buying and it's all 5 out of 5. I bought mine in Powercity, ordered and paid on line and then collected in store but still got the discount for the online purchase.

We have a Miele Cat and Dog (cos, er, we have a cat) and it's great. Better reviews than the Dysons. Bought ours at electricshopping.com, which was the cheapest price I could find at the time.

I have just bought a Miele Cat and Dog vacuum.....brilliant. Had the equivalent Dyson for the last 5 years and there is simply no comparision.
It is an expensive buy but worth it IMO.

Miele all the way!

I was looking at Miele uprights, but am finding it hard to find a bricks and mortar shop that sells them. Any suggestions?
