I see Aldi have an offer, starting to-morrow, for duvets (and pillows) containing Duck feathers. I've recently bought a duvet with goose feathers which was more expensive than the Aldi one. I'd like to buy an Aldi one if it's as good as my other purchase. So, can anyone tell me, which type of Duvet would be the best, one containg duck feathers or one containing goose feathers - or (everything else being equal, weight, etc.) is one as good as the other.

definitly Goose,, warmer and won't go pear shape like Duck feather does.
you get wat u paid for!

This is going on sale in Lidl on Monday. Also doubles, singles and pillows.

Anybody got any views?

10.5 tog is quite low. Ours is 14 and cosy!

I think 10.5 is huge :)

I've abandoned our heavy winter duvet (way too heavy) and use a goose down 3.5 tog year round - plenty warm - and the room is rarely warmer than 19 degrees with the heat on - in light of other thread on turning the heat up, we tend to be happy with an ambient 21 degrees downstairs - so I guess, it varies for everyone.

I presume these are some odd furrin size and I would have great difficulty finding pillow cases for them in Ireland.
