From speaking with them yesterday it seemed a decision was yet to be made on how to apply redress.
@Shay75 suppose that was a direct reply to my query re joint accounts which are no longer joint and how redress would be handled in those circumstances. I outlined how joint account had been closed in order to remortgage in sole name on same property but staying with AIB.the answers do seem to vary, depending upon who you speak to, but how else could they apply redress other than a cheque?
Direct payment to the bank currently with the mortgage doesn't sound more straightforward ?
You don't really need to worry about it. Unless AIB reduce their rates it'll stay at zero.Valid for 5 working days so I will be ringing them tomorrow to discuss as letter only arrived today.
