What should IFSRA be looking at?

Regulator

"how many Jacks were snaffled up by unpoliced banks"

Pantheon, isn't that the new PRSA helpline??

Re: IFSRA things to look at....

Nobody mention Motor Insurance, but according to
Morning Ireland this morning, it's within the remit of
the IFSRA.

:D

So if there are any consumers out there who feel they haven't been treated fairly by their Insurance company,
feel free to send your complaint to the IFSRA.

Something tells me if they go down this road they might not get around to the other things on the list for sometime yet.

As far as I recall Brendan expressed the opinion (possibly in the Sunday Tribune if not also here) that IFSRA should not get involved in the motor insurance debate but concentrate on other issues.

Re: IFSRA things to look at....

I'm inclined to agree as you'll see from my comments
about the IFSRA not getting anything else done.

Perhaps financial services have gotten so far out of
whack that no one body can hope to set everything straight quickly. An issue like insurance would grab
headlines and detract attention and resources from
other areas.

But, on the other hand, Insurance doesn't come under
the remit of the Director of Consumer affairs.
Despite the fact that is is probably the product that
most consumers have a problem with.

Insurance IS a financial product and it's consumers are being ripped off by blatant anti-compeditive practices that are not even hidden.

On balance if the IFSRA can do something then that's
better than letting it fall between two stools.
