I got this pop-up just now.

I ignored it, but I wonder where it came from?

My Avast is bang up to date.

I have some software which blocks pop-ups.

Do I need to do anything else.

I googled it but they only mentions I could see seemed to sales pitches from anti-virus and anti-popups companies.

Pop up blocker software often does not block all types of pop ups.

What website were you visiting when this popped up?

http://review.easycounter.com/get.mirando.de-report it gets poor reports from WOT (Web Of Trust) scans in that link. Never heard of it before today.

I had a look and the only one which seemed to be open was KBC. But could it have popped up earlier when I was on a different website which I had since closed?

Yeah, it might have been caused by a 'pop under' which is a pop up that opens a different window that you may not have noticed until later in your browsing session or until you closed your main browser window.

There are obviously other potential causes.
