What happens to a refund paid to a cancelled debit card?

I booked flights using my debit card ending 7833

I cancelled that card.

Now, I am cancelling the flights and getting a refund and got this message from BA

• Your booking will be refunded to the credit/debit card used to pay for the initial booking: **************7833.

I can't find any way to contact BA to query this.

Will AIB know that 7833 was replaced by 8619?

Short answer: you will get your money back into your account.

Debit cards tend to be issued against existing bank accounts, like cheques.
