Just need advise on where to put a lump sum of 60,000. I have this in my current account with little returns. We have no mortgage on our home and have kept 5,000 in another account for easy access. any advice greatly appreciated.

One should not keep savings in their current account.

Do you need instant access or can you lock the money away for a period of time?
