That would suggest the pad has worn completely. Some makes do have dash lights to indicate pads need changing but associated pad sensors certainly won't 'squeal' along with it. What exactly is the problem?

F Frank Registered User Messages 1,843 6 Jun 2006 #5 Front brakes tend to doo all the work so will wear quicker. If you here metal on metal all as was mentioned thats bad. Some pads do have sensors. Don't mess with brakes go to a garage or kwik fit or similar and get them checked.
