Washer/Dryer Recommendation

Anybody recommend a washer/dryer and where I might get best deal for same in the D6 area? If I have them deliver are they obliged to remove the old one?
 
I have an Indesit Washer Dryer & despite all the bad reviews have never had any problems with it. Actually one complaint would be that the clothes come out of dryer really creased but that could just be me!!

And yes the company are obliged to take the old machine away but you have to have it disconnected and ready to go. Even then they may not take it there and then but may say that they will call back. It's always best to confirm when arranging delivery of new one that they will take old one away at the same time.
 
I Have a Zanuzzi washer/dryer and I'm very happy with it. With regards to deals or the best price, we bouught it along with all the other appliances from Power City and as we were buying a number of appliances at once we were able to get a discount.

I got a Bosch washer/dryer about 3 years ago. Was dear enough (c.€850) but never gave any trouble so far. Some people reckon they're the best and well worth the extra money.
 
Any other feddback on washer dryers in general? A friend, single lady who uses the dryer for towels and sheets only is considering an integrated model in the kitchen (currently has a washer and a dryer on top of each other in the bathroom)

My experience (over 20 yrs ago) was that the drying was not very good and prone to breaking or very slow.....but maybe technology has improved? The integrated models are also very expensive.

Grateful for any other opinions!
 
Depends or your washing / drying needs and the space available for appliances.

We have a separate Condenser dryer stacked on top of the washing machine in the utility room. What we normally do is wash clothes and then put them out on a clothes drier/ horse overnight, maybe put on a second wash afterwards.

Clothes left out overnight can then be finished off in tumble drier. We would rarely put a just finished wash straight into tumble drier, it must take huge amount of energy to dry clothes like this.
 
Had a washer / Dryer, cant remember the make, but had nothing but trouble with it. Had it for 5 years and spent at least E100 per year on repairs. The problem is that when they break down you loose the washing machine as well which is a nightmare.

I would highly recommend a bosch washing machine, around E400 and would also recommend DID, always got fantastic service from them. Bosch comes with a 5 year parts and labour gurantee as standard which shows the faith they have in their own appliances. Also my repair man for the washer / dryer recommend Bosch as he had never repaired one in 15 years.

I am in the market for a condencer dryer myself which I hope to stack over the washing machine in the utility room. Not associated to either company mentioned above by the way.
 
While i would have like 2 separates, we didn't have room, so went for a Whirlpool combo. So far so good. The washing cycle takes a heavier load than the dryer, so you have to on occasion take out half of the load before setting the drying cycle going otherwise the clothes dont dry right. As long as you do that, its great.
