Hi,

Can anyone please advise best way to get to the New Town from the airport ? I heard that Taxi drivers are a rip off and can be dodgy (sounds like Ireland wha' !!!)

We took bus 175 and it does exactly what it says on the tin...
 
When you arrive ignore the touts in the arrivals hall - there are quite a few of them just don't listen to anything they say ! .. Just go outside to the rank (straight outside the door you can't miss it the airport is really pretty small) and grab a cab there ... they are official and no problems at all with them - they all have meters and roof signs.

I was there a few weeks ago and paid just over 20 zloty's from the Airport to Downtown - that's around €5 .. and it was an fairly new E-Class Merc !

€5 wouldnt' get you to the exit of the Airport in Dublin .. and it would be in a 1992 Jap import Corolla :eek:

I've no idea about the bus - taxis are so cheap why bother
