Want to find out about your past? new website (no connection)

Same here, and also no results for my parents or other people I tried.
 
Me too. de nada, and I have quite a "past". Ah well, just have to get bizzy writing the expose.
 
Nothing for me either.

So I tried Brendan Murphy. Nothing.

Then I tried Patrick Murphy and there are thousands of records.

Doesn't seem like a very useful site at all.
 
Nothing for me, parents, grandparents but I got a hit for one of my great great grand parents 1837!

It appears to me to be a ancestor site.
 
Once again, this underlines the loss of state records in the burning of the Four Courts.

Disappointing.

Mind you, the OP states -

So perhaps I shouldn't have expected too much :)
 
Speaking as someone who is researching his roots over the last few years, much of what is on here is availble elsewhere, often for free. Search engine is very poor as well
 
22 hits from mid-1800's on my grandfather's name. Two of them were Dublin which is where the family are from the rest were Limerick.
