why is she trading in the 03 golf with only 7k on the clock, surely it makes better sense to continue to drive this car as to the cost of trading/replacing it. If she has to pay 10k to get a new car (assuming trading to a similar priced car as she currently has) then if she drove the golf for years it would not depreciate down to so would be a lower cost alternative. Also witH the low milage the repairs/servicing should be a minimal cost. I can't see the logic is trading in the car for a newer one, and is an expensive move to get a newer reg.
