Victim's photographs used by Irish media

I note a tendency, particularly with the Irish Independent, that where a victim waives their right to anonymity, and it is usually a woman, that the photograph accompanying the article is of the victim, rather than the perpetrator. As I write this, there are 2 examples on independent.ie, the first of a woman whose ex-partner is jailed for rape and coercive control. The second concerns a man who repeatedly sexually assaulted his teenage babysitter. In both cases, photographs of the women are used. These victims have probably been though an aweful lot and waiving their right to anonymity is for the reason of naming the perpetrator.
