Very noisy water pump

We have a noisy pump also... it gets turned off at night. I did get the rubber mat but cant fit it under. I was told to allow air flow around it so do not block with bedding etc to attempt to muffle. But I do appreciate the difference it makes! Decent pressure on gravity showers and no worry if somone turns tap on elsewhere at same time. Also toilet cisterns refill much quicker.

Thanks folks, some great suggestions.

Turning it off is not an option - upstairs bathrooms get only a trickle without it.

The connections are not flexible, it’s standard copper pipe. As you can see the pipes are fixed to the wall, and the pump is on the whole wall vibrates, amplifying the noise if anything. One other thing - there’s a pressure vessel on the circuit. Could that have anything to do with it? The pump seems to kick in sooner than I would expect considering the pressure vessel should take some of the slack (I assume?). See pic.

I googled cow cubicle mats,

Thats what I have under my shower pump, (the joys of having a brother who is a dairy farmer!), It made a small bit of difference, but its still as noisy as hell. I did see anti vibration mats in Woodies a few weeks ago, but I dont think they would be any better than my cow mat off-cut! They looked something like this
