UK State pension - Am I class 2 or Class 3

I received my letter to pay NI contributions back in July 2024, however re reading the letter Im just curious about the sentence in the letter accepting me, it says

"We've accepted your application to pay voluntary class 3 NICs by annual payment. This letter gives the information you've asked for on any shortfall of NICs that you can pay on your National Insurance record"

however I didn't specifically apply to pay at class 3, however I ticked the box NO on the CF83 form when asked did I pay 3 full years of NI contributions. So does ticking No to those questions automatically put me in class 3 contributions?

I did send back my PRSI record to make up the 3 year work record in UK requirement when I was initially rejected for paying back NI contributions in January 2023.
However is it the case that I am automatically class 3 now even though I have been working in Ireland and paying PRSI since my time in UK?

I'm also curious about my letter because I specifically ticked the boxes to pay by Direct Debit from a UK bank account, but the letter says "Thank you for your application to pay voluntary NICs by an annual payment".

If you believe you are entitled to class 2, appeal & attached your documentation.
