Tubs of Roses - shrinkflation

Celebrations are even worse than Roses IMO. :(But the thread is about shrinkflation, which appears to be rampant across all products and brands. But that's capitalism - the market just magically sorting out the problems, the way markets do, because they apparently think for themselves and tell us what we have to pay.

These are just a few reasons from my 2nd pilot! to stock up.....

  1. Variety: Quality Street offers a delightful assortment of chocolates and toffees, so there’s something for everyone. Whether you prefer creamy, nutty, or fruity flavors, there’s a treat to match your taste.
  2. Sharing: These chocolates are perfect for sharing with friends and family, making them a great addition to social gatherings and celebrations. Sharing a tin of Quality Street can bring people together and create joyful moments.
  3. Nostalgia: For many, Quality Street chocolates are tied to fond memories of holidays and special occasions. Enjoying them can evoke a sense of nostalgia and comfort.
  4. Indulgence: Sometimes, it’s nice to treat yourself to something sweet. Quality Street chocolates offer a little indulgence that can brighten your day and provide a moment of pleasure.
  5. Gift-Giving: The colorful and festive packaging makes Quality Street an excellent gift option. It’s a thoughtful and delicious way to show appreciation or celebrate special events.
  6. Convenience: The individually wrapped pieces make it easy to enjoy a sweet treat on the go or to control portion sizes if you’re watching your intake.
Ugh. More chatgpt fodder from lazy posters.

4 × Quality Street ordered and delivered by Dunnes. €3.60 each with vouchers and I don't believe they'll drop below that except perhaps flash sales which I find are hit and miss. Easy to peel sellotape which comes off in one piece.
There seems to be more 'hard ones' than usual, but that's OK as we give them to the visitors!
BBE 07-25 which is good as of course you have no control over this in deliveries.
Bon appetite....

Thanks for the info but too late just been to Aldi where they are 3.99, max 4 per person

You're probably as well off. I've never to-date seen one of those type of offers in Tesco where they weren't sold out when I got there. You would probably have used up the savings on fuel going elsewhere.

Hopefully with a 10 day promotion, this will not be the case, particularly for the 1st few days!
There also doesn't appear to be any limit.
Keep an eye on BBE dates as mentioned in post 47.
I unfortunately have to report that the sellotape was not easy to remove in the other 3 tubs.
I of course only tested this to give a fair review of the product.
Any one for toffees??

I just did a test on Tesco Delivery and note there is a limit of 6 tubs even combining the 4 varieties.
Below is the message I get when trying to add to this:

You have reached the maximum quantity of 6 for this group of products.
