Transfer € -> £

Hi, I hope someone can help.

I need to transfer a bit of money (€50K) from Ireland to the UK. Does anyone know the bext way to do this? Are there specialist brokers in Ireland who do this using the current exchange rate, or am I stuck with using the normal bank's transfer mechanism.

For an amount of that size, any banks where you already have an account should be able to give you a special rate from their FX dealing desk.

many thanks for the responses. I'll actually try my bank first and see what their offer is. I can then compare to the speciality exchange sites.
