Trading212 Debit Card With Cashback (0.5%-1.5%)

@tomdublin I've got mine today, so probably you should be able to get yours soon (or already). One thing is that I did not get a notification about my card is available until I opened Trading 212 app (and there was in-app notification).

So I tested this out last night with my Netflix subscription and it gets tagged with the utilities exclusion. So this is a bit unsatisfactory. Wasting spending on the T212 card only to later find out that I could have gotten 1% saveback with Trade Republic if I'd used that instead.

Oh wow. I'd question Netflix subscription is a utilities one...

So I finally got my card. Having read their No cashback on their website, I am really wondering where you can use the card and get cashback?
Is paying for the dentist considered as "medical/dental insurance" or as "other professional services"? Renting a car?

What do you (who got their card) got cash back on?

Have only tried out Netflix and food shops so far. Netflix, Fallon and Byrne, Dunnes supermarket all worked. Afraid to try dentist or other large payments where it's ambiguous like you say.

Anyone else done other categories?

If you tap on the actual transaction you can see if you got cashback for it or not.
I can't find this information. Did a hotel booking and when I tap on the transaction it just gives me amount, FX fee, category & the fact that it was an online transaction but nothing about cash back. Am I looking in the wrong place?

Is the booking from today or more than 24 hours or so ago? The cashback element doesn't appear straight away when you do the transaction.

You have to wait until the transaction is completed not pending. Then the following day it will show the cashback amount if any.

Got the cashback now. This card seems quite worthwhile. The exchange rate is marginally better than Revolut's standard exchange rate and much better than Revolut's exchange rate at weekends and/or above its monthly 1000 Euro "fair use" limit). Not sure though what the business model is, other than luring people to their trading platform. Hope they won't kick me out once they realize that I'm just pocketing cashback without trading.

I signed up for Digital card last week and tried it while Northern Ireland this weekend and rates were great.
For example spent £87.93 in Sainsburys and it cost €105.60. Using the wholesale rate it would have been about €105.48 and then an additional 16c fee as the 0.15% exchange fee.
So I effectively lost out on 30c on a €100 odd exchange and about €1 cheaper than Revolut who would have charged €106.93.

Highly recommend for cross border spending
