I was driving on the motorway the other night and my car conked out. Had it towed to a local garage who checked it and have told me that the timing belt has gone in it. They have also added that this would probably have caused immense damage to the engine but won't know until they strip it down tomorrow.
I know this could cost me serious money for repair depending how bad it is, but I wouldn't mind getting opnions on what it could cost considering I was travelling at about 65-70mph at the time. I just want to make sure I am not going to be well overcharged.
Thanks
