Testing before flying to Lanzarote?

I thought it was an antigen test ? Maybe Spain is different ? PCR costs 100+ as oppose to 20-40 for AG.

I have no idea why this response loaded twice (I have sinced edited the second copy). Nor do I know how to delete the duplicate.

It's not really a scrap though, Ethiad don't set national entry rules but they are entitled to insist on higher ones should they so chose,

Not just etihad.most/if not all of the Middle East airlines insist on a negative Pcr test

We are thinking about a short holiday to Lanzarote and are somewhat confused as regards test requirements on departure and return to Dublin.
We are both fully vaccinated with boosters and have the EU DCC. Can anyone tell me if we require PCR or Antigen tests in order to board a Ryanair flight to Lanzarote and what is the situation when were are returning to Dublin? I would appreciate advice from anyone who has recently travelled as to be honest I'm not sure if the hassle of testing would be worth it. Many thanks.
Not sure going out to Spain but coming back to Ireland you dont if you meet the criteria listed in citizens information.
See link attached. Let me know what its like im looking to head this month too.

From Thursday 6 January 2022, pre-departure testing is no longer needed when flying to ireland.

When leaving Ireland to go on a break to Spain/Canaries, a Health control form to be filled out to get fast control QR code when boarding/going to Spain/Canaries. This form is filled out online, by going into Spain travel health. Form to be completed no more than 48 hrs before arriving at your destination. Do not make an error in doing this, as it will have consequences when you get to Spanish customs. Do it correctly and no problems. That's how it stands today, make sure to keep an eye on everything as things can change very quickly.

That was implicit in my comment ;) Although I admit that it was somewhat subtle!
Some people just cannot ask a question because they see it as a sign of weakness.

It's nice to see people asking the Askaboutmoney community questions or looking for advice or giving helpful updates about their own experiences and not just waiting in the long grass, to pounce as some do.

I know about the Spanish health control form but do you have to give the exact address of your resort in Lanzarote? Is this form similar to the Passenger Locator form?
When returning to Ireland am I right in thinking the Passenger Locator form must be filled online 48?72 hours before flying back?

You do have to fill in where you are staying, so why not be exact? On Gov.ie at the moment it says passengers travelling here must fill out a passenger locator form prior to departure to Ireland. As you know rules are changing on 1st February, so will the Gov.ie website be updated then and show that a locator form coming to Ireland won't be needed? I don't know. In any case, filling out a form if you've been vaccinated and have the booster will not be a problem I would have thought.

Thanks noproblem. I just need to ensure that I have the correct address of the hotel we'll be staying at. As you say, with constant changes in travelling requirements, perhaps the passenger locator forms will not be required by the time our return to Ireland is due.

I'm now told you only need to fill out a locator form when coming back to Ireland if you're not vaccinated. Got my digital cert today by email. All good to go now on 1st Feb, booked, paid for, and looking forward to it. Just have to hope the asre doesn't fall out of the pot now:p

Keep an eye on the DFA website as they are keeping country specific & return to Ireland advice up to date as the situation changes.

Do you need the booster to have a valid covid cert? If you dont have booster can you return to ireland without having to get a test.
Anyone know what testing requirements are required when going to lanza or tenerife

My understanding is that at the moment is a Covid cert is only valid for nine months after your last dose
So if like me you got your shots in May 2021 your cert is only valid till end of Feb 2022
If you get a booster then you'll get a new cert that will be valid for nine months from your booster date

I should add that I wouldn't risk traveling unless I was fully vaccinated with the booster
The English family that I have previously stayed with here in Spain went home for Christmas, all four of them returned with Covid
