Testing before flying to Lanzarote?

We are thinking about a short holiday to Lanzarote and are somewhat confused as regards test requirements on departure and return to Dublin.
We are both fully vaccinated with boosters and have the EU DCC. Can anyone tell me if we require PCR or Antigen tests in order to board a Ryanair flight to Lanzarote and what is the situation when were are returning to Dublin? I would appreciate advice from anyone who has recently travelled as to be honest I'm not sure if the hassle of testing would be worth it. Many thanks.

As at 16.00 today:

Dublin to Lanzarote: No - you just need to have completed the Spanish FCS form - see here:
Lanzarote to Dublin: Yes - if you are fully vaccinated or recovered, you must show a negative or not detected RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours before your arrival or an antigen test taken 48 hours before your arrival to Ireland.

+1. Was there early December, no need for test going out if fully vaccinated, very strict at Lanzarote airport checking that Spanish Gov FCS is filled out for all passengers. I would advise doing this individually as the family option we selected was not acceptable except for form originator (me). Hubby had to go through all documentation with onsite doc, luckily I had printed out Covid Cert and FCS form. Must have test on return, antigen within 48 hours of arrival home, PCR within 72 hours. My advice unless fully vaccinated don’t travel.

Thanks guys for your replies.
Eithneangela, can you please tell me if you have to get the PCR/Antigen test carried out at Lanzarote airport or from a reputable provider in your resort? If it must be carried out at the airport it means a journey there a couple of days before returning to Ireland. Apologies for my ignorance but I have not flown anywhere since Covid began and although I have searched online some of the information is confusing and can change at short notice!

Most people are getting it done in resort. All the private clinics are offering PCR and antigen tests. If you're staying in Puerto del Carmen, the British clinic opposite Vik San Antonio is reputed to be efficient.

Any idea what they might be charging for the testing that's required?
Thanks to the original poster for bringing all this up. Very useful and informative.

What happens if your antigen test is positive? When returning from Lanzarote
You will have to self isolate , That is why we did not go away for our usual Christmas break , With one in every two people showing positive here it will probably be the same in Spain , My worry was that if we felt fine with the Omnicron and tested positive where would we stay , Not worth the hassle at the moment , I hope you make the right call for you .

International clinic charging €20. That's near Fariones. Biosfera has a clinic, €35. All Lateral Flow, of course. British surgery near Vik San Antonio charging €135 for PCR.

Yes, International Clinic in Playa Blanca. Simple process, certificate produced in about 15 minutes after swab. €20 each. Clinic owner driving a big Mercedes!
Yes, but there is a post on TripAdvisor slating the International Clinic but it's only one person's experience!

A €135 for PCR holy moly.
I though I was being fleeced by paying €70 each recently

Surely no one's giving them any business, apart from those who know nothing but think they know everything

It's just been announced that we won't now need PCR tests to re-enter Ireland if fully vaccinated.

If the airline insists you will.
Etihad airways insist all passengers need a negative PCR test, otherwise you cannot board your flight too Dublin or depart from Dublin regardless of vaccination status
