Taxation of Pensions

This is probably a really dumb question - I've searched the forum and can't find a quick answer, so here goes.

I'm a member of a DBS Pension in a private company.
I'm thinking of leaving Ireland when I retire, and moving to Malaysia.
The Malaysians have a program where they'll give a retiree a 10 year visa - thus I can become a Resident of the country for tax purposes.

My question is - do I have to pay any tax on my pension in Ireland? If I'm resident abroad, and have left Ireland for good am I still taxable here?

Thanks for any help you can give.

To the best of my knowledge if you are non-resident in Ireland you can instruct the pension provider to pay your pension gross, but presumably you'll still be liable to pay tax on it in Malaysia. I've no idea of their taxation regime.

Wonderful news Dave.
The Malaysian Tax rate on remitted pension money is, er, low....
