HI all, can anyone tell me is it possible to claim tax relief on health insurance, I pay for this myself

and if so how do I go about claiming this back

thanks

If you paid the premium directly to Laya, VHI etc then almost certainly the tax relief was applied 'at source' and you paid the net amount rather than then gross amount.

You typically only need to claim tax relief credits in situation where the premium is paid in part or full by your employer.

No - tax relief is applied at source. You can claim tax back on any shortfall on treatments received or medication prescribed.

Isnt the tax relief already factored into the price the customer pays?
