Hi,

I have used tax calculators to work out what my income should be on 50k.
I have been getting paid 2800 but tax calculator works out at just over 3000.

Can anyone advise?

I am single, no kids and no contributions to pension/healthcare etc.

Look at the PWC income tax calculator. It gives a breakdown of all the allowance and deductions. This will help you trace back the difference to your monthly pay via your payslip.

alternatively post the breakdown listed on your payslip

Thanks for the quick response. I have pasted my payslip below. I moved from 48k to 50k last month but I was still getting lower than what the calculator advises back then. PWC and all other calculators I have used said I should have net: €3,066
I must mention - I am paid 4 weekly if that is the difference.

Here's what my spreadsheet shows for a 4-weekly paid employee with standard single person tax status:

4673

If you post information on your exact gross pay and your tax credits, you might get an answer

As per jpd- if you have a payslip, post details of period tax credits and cut-off point (or annual values instead), maybe also PRSI class. A precise calculation could then be done.

You can probably see what value is coming out differently also by comparing your payslip to the spreadsheet screenshot.
