Hi,

My question is as follows:

Where a father dies intestate and only two sons in the family, mother died ten years ago, Is there tax implications for two sons?

ie If he had made a will would there be less tax to be paid , than not making one?

I was told recently that in such a situation, more tax would be paid by two sons if father had not made a will? Is this true?

Thanks in advance?

The only way a will might reduce the tax liability of the sons is if he left some of his property to another person.
