If I wanted the promotion I'd take it and then try to bodge SUSI. If you you haven't maxed your allowable age related pension contributions you could do so to reduce your reckonable income re SUSI. There's also salary sacrifice schemes to reduce income, in particular bike-to-work and unpaid leave. In any event you probably won't "lose it all" as you may get half fees or at least the €500 contribution. Methinks it's a good problem to have.I have been offered a promotion but reluctant to take it as I will have 2 in college in college next year and I would just lose it all.
Also, the threshold for each band increase by 4k+ when you have more than 1 in college, we have 2 in it this year and they moved from band 4 to band 2/3 because of the increase in the threshold. Both girls also work.Am I correct in saying that the threshold for EACH band has been increased by 15%? Or where would I find such information?

Tx Micahel. I've already used bike to work and unpaid leave. Is there any other way to reduce salary until Dec 31st?If I wanted the promotion I'd take it and then try to bodge SUSI.
