The SUSI student grant allows deductions for reckonable income for “contributions to pension schemes”. My spouse works in the public service and pays:
Class A Officer (Rev Sch) Pen
Class A Officer (Rev Sch) Ls
Spouses And Childrens Officers

Do these count as “contributions to pension schemes” for this purpose?

Also, we will do a lump sum execution only AVC PRSA this month so that it counts against 2024 - is there anything in particular we need to do or watch out for?

Thanks for your help

These look like the normal pension contributions made by public servants, yes.

The LS may refer to the lump-sum.

Thanks - all three are regular deductions on every payslip but I think (hope) that they are all types of "pension" and will be counted by SUSI as that...
