Looking for inspiration for next year, probably June or August. We have been to Martinhal in Portugal and to Princess Yaiza in Lanzarote (3 times now, kids have loved it) but would like something else for a change.

Girls will be 6 and 11, decent kids entertainment is nb, nice hotel for us, ideally 2 bedrooms (a big plus for the Yaiza)

Any recommentations?

Would you consider a campsite which has a hotel, such as Bella Italia at Lake Garda in Italy.
When our kids were younger we stayed in mobile homes many times at different campsites. I've been to Bella Italia once, staying in an apartment.
Campsites have loads of kids activities.

Are you wedded to a hotel or would you consider a nice villa with a pool? There are tonnes all around Europe. Just narrow down a destination and then check whtad available in that area on airbnb (can get v high end) or a quick Google should pull up some agencies. You will get a lot more space. You can probably find one close to a main centre for socialising.

I've never been to Club Med myself - not in my budget!
My kids weren't into beach and pool holidays. I'm assuming that's the type of thing you're looking for? They are a good age for Disney though. Maybe a beach holiday in Florida then move to a Disneyworld hotel for a few days?

thanks for the ideas, should have said campsite isnt my bag, im thinking more 5 star hotel.

Cruise could be an option?
Cruise is a floating 5 star hotel, unpack once, different port every day
Can be as active and leisurely as you like, spa & gym and all the 5 star facilities onboard

id rather a nice hotel with kids entertainment and stuff, in a few years a villa will work but the kids love being around other kids and making new friends so id like to keep that going!

Money doesn’t seem to be an object, so USA (incl New York) must be a runner.
ah money is an object but ill spend on a nice holiday within reason. NYC is on the list (my brother is in vancouver so great halfway point to meet him and his family) but his boys are a little younger so probably something for a few years time.

any that you would recommend?
Most itineraries are similar as in ports visited, the med is always a winner for me, start in Barcelona, Marseille / Valetta / La Spezia
I have not been Stateside / Caribbean yet my budget does not allow it.

MSC - Italian cruise line, great value, set pricing for drinks packages, good food and very classy ships
Royal Caribbean - American Cruise line, very family orientated, more activities on ships and the entertainment is a lot better, comedians etc
Celebrity Cruises - another American company I think, pricey
Virgin - more for younger people/ couples and swingers lol

Initial cost is high for cabin and drinks but once you get on board your food and drink, providing you stay out out of the speciality restaurants is paid for.

You need a Travel Agent for your first one, there is so much info - Click and Go are my cruise agent, I have 7 cruises with them, I would not recommend anybody else.
