Always wanted roman blinds in the sitting room of new house. But to keep the front of the house the 'same' from the outside, I am considering Roman blinds in other rooms too at the front of the house (including bedrooms). I have always had plain cream roller blinds in my old house so they all looked the exact same from the outside of the house. I picked a couple of fabrics for the Roman blinds and am concerned about the inch or two of colour that can be seen at the bottom of these and the fact that it will be different colour in different rooms. For those of you who have Roman blinds, do you ever notice this when driving up to the house? I think I am making a mountain out of molehill - but want to do it right (when spending a lot of money!!). Anyone got black-out option on their roman blinds in bedrooms? Is there any difference to the look of roman blinds with blackout option or without blackout option from outside the house? In the rest of the house, I will get getting normal roller blinds. BTW -the reason for the roman blinds is I am not a curtain person, so probably will have none in the house at all. So wanted to add a bit of warmth and bulk to windows without curtains. Any other ideas much appreciated either!!!
